Lütticher in Cologne

We only got to know the Liège during the lockdown. For everyone who wants to take a break from the usual take-away selection - we can only highly recommend the Liège! The dishes were delicious.

A great restaurant with great food and service in a wonderful location in the Belgian Quarter. In summer you will find a wonderful spot on the cozy terrace and on cooler days the "Lütticher" impresses with its beautiful and special interior. The food is really excellent, especially the truffle tagliatelle and chocolate tart are so tasty. But everything else, including the choice of drinks, was absolutely successful. The team is super nice and accommodating! Definitely a recommendation for all Cologne and non-Cologne residents;)

Been there a few times and enjoyed the delicious food. Point deduction for service. Unfortunately not the first time that a course was forgotten and we had to wait a long time despite the demand. Too bad.

Tasty and good - but small portions

We were there for the first time based on the good reviews. I have a gluten intolerance and therefore prefer to eat upscale food, as I want to make sure that I get gluten-free food due to the advice and the better kitchen. I explicitly asked for a card with allergens. This was not there. The service staff (an older man) said they could tell me immediately which dishes are gluten-free and which are not. After a couple of questions he seemed less sure, but he certainly didn't want to show anything. I ordered and asked him to finalize with the kitchen whether the poem was really gluten-free. He casually said YES. He later brought me the dish with toasted bread on top of the meal. So he didn't tell the kitchen that I had to eat gluten-free. You can imagine my loud complaint. I did not hear an insight or an apology. I am utterly disappointed and I did not expect this in an upscale restaurant. I don't eat gluten-free out of conviction, but for health reasons.

I didn't know the restaurant before today. I was invited to celebrate a birthday of my former student and was absolutely thrilled. In terms of taste, it was like a star restaurant. The waiter was absolutely fantastic! I wasn't served so well at the top restaurants either. It was informal, professional and pleasant. I think we have a new favorite restaurant as of today! I can only recommend it!

The Liège is just wonderful! Yesterday evening we were spoiled with culinary delights as always. There is definitely no more secluded place on a summer evening than on the beautiful terrace here. In addition, the kitchen is exceptionally creative, varied and of high quality. The drinks are delicious too. There are first class wines. Here you can just feel comfortable - not least because of the friendly and courteous service and the warm-hearted owner. My friends and I have already planned the next evening here. There is definitely no alternative. Also from me: absolutely recommendable!

Very very delicious food, the open rosé was also really good, nice staff and nice atmosphere at absolutely reasonable prices! It was so delicious that we immediately went over it, so no photo!

Incredibly attentive service, super cozy and simply ALWAYS exceptionally tasty! Great restaurant that leaves nothing to be desired! I am here regularly and I was always thrilled by the Liège, both in private and at professional meetings or Christmas practice parties! In summer, the outdoor area under a large old tree is also simply fantastic! Thank you for such a fabulous location in downtown Cologne!

The food was excellent so as the service. On the pricey side but definitely worth it. Atmosphere is very cozy with the garden setup, you have quite some privacy which makes it ideal for a date night!

The food is really delicious and the portions are very well coordinated. The service is unfortunately not on the same level. Everything is fine at the table, but little attention is paid to the guests around it. Cutlery is often forgotten or thrown loudly into a metal container. Data protection is not capitalized with the address list. For the price, the service has to be as great as the kitchen. The vegetarian selection is very small.

The Liège is nicely furnished and offers an informal atmosphere. We were eating at 7pm on a Monday. At this point there were 3 tables occupied, when we went maybe 7, so not too full (even if we were unlucky with our neighbors ...) The service was arranged by one person, respect for who was in a good mood in a professional manner did his work. The menu is clear and changes more often, so for friends of planning: don't plan too far in advance. The food (in our case two different main dishes) was tasty and well coordinated, the portioning was not designed for saturation at a still reasonable price. The dessert was very good. The red wine is good. I myself have not visited the toilets, my companion complained about the lighting conditions and disproportionate coolness. However, the toilets were clean. All in all it was a nice restaurant visit. Thanks for that and all future visitors have fun and enjoy your meal. With the Liège you can't go wrong, as a couple, for dates or as a group.

Very good food. Primitivo tastes very good. Service is very friendly and attentive. You can eat well in a group or just for two.

Yummy, but steak was low quality. My wife dish was significantly better.

Very good food quality! Presentation and atmosphere is great. Even when ordering as a group we did not experience any delays. We will be back soon!
